Study daily!

“And remember, our Lord’s patience gives people time to be saved.”

This is what our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you with the wisdom God gave him— speaking of these things in all of his letters. Some of his comments are hard to understand, and those who are ignorant and unstable have twisted his letters to mean something quite different, just as they do with other parts of Scripture. And this will result in their destruction.” 2 Peter 3:15-16 NLT

There are people among us who will twist scripture to support their evil agenda. We must be daily students of the Bible so that we are aware when God’s Word is being distorted, twisted or misconstrued. Amen? Love you! 🦋⚔️

While waiting…

“But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness. And so, dear friends, while you are waiting for these things to happen, make every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight.” 2 Peter 3:13-14 NLT

When Jesus returns, what will you be doing? Will you be in the act of sinning? Will you be fussing with a loved one? Will you be plotting against a neighbor? Will you be cheating? Let’s make an effort to habitually live in peace with purity and blamelessness as our companions. That’s how Jesus should find us. Love you! 🦋⚔️

Jesus’ example!

“Give discernment to me, your servant; then I will understand your laws.” Psalm 119:125 NLT

Are you struggling with hearing the Lord’s voice? Are you confused by the evil one who whispers to you? Are you on the path God chose for you? Are you being obedient? If you are asking any of these questions, go to our Father and ask for discernment. While you are waiting to hear back from God let your life illustrate who Jesus is. Love you! 🦋⚔️

Uplift your “siblings”

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19 NLT

Has God blessed you? Are you grateful? Did God allow you to escape disclosure and punishment for sinful behavior? You have a testimony. There is someone out there who needs to hear your testimony because they are going through the same thing you went through and the evil one is making them feel unwanted, unloved and forsaken. Won’t you share that testimony today? Love you! 🦋⚔️

Makes sense!

“And remember, when you are being tempted, do not say, “God is tempting me.” God is never tempted to do wrong, and he never tempts anyone else. Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.” James 1:13-14 NLT

This scripture makes perfect sense. Why would our God ever tempt us to sin? God hates sin. God wants us to depart from sin. If you are feeling tempted to do wrong, we now know Who isn’t tempting you. Amen? Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋

Hang in there!

“I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly,” Ephesians 1:16 NLT

Do you spend a lot of time helping this one person who God has sent to you? You have met with the person. You have prayed with the person. You have invited the person to your home, to bible study, to Sunday school, but the person always declines. When the person doesn’t come to church and you reach out, there’s always an excuse for not coming. The person only calls you when the person needs a ride somewhere, needs money, needs help getting out of trouble with the law or needs food. Don’t be discouraged. Continue to help the person, encourage the person. Be the example that Jesus called you to be. Love you! 🦋⚔️

New season

“By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence.” 2 Peter 1:3 NLT

Some of us know what the Word says, what it prohibits and what it requires. We know. In spite of this knowledge and wisdom, we continue to follow the world and duck and creep in and out of places that are prohibited. God can see everything we are doing and not doing. Let today be the first day of a new season of obedience. Amen? Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋

Anxious and irritated?

“I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him.” Psalm 62:1 NLT

Have you been praying earnestly for something or someone in particular? Are you anxious? Are you irritated that you have to wait? Do you want an answer right now? Sometimes the answer to our prayers is simply, “wait.” Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋

Humbling the proud

“When my sanity returned to me, so did my honor and glory and kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored as head of my kingdom, with even greater honor than before. “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud.”” Daniel 4:36-37 NLT

Do you go around patting yourself on the back for all the good deeds you have done? Do you tell your friends and colleagues that you are responsible for your successes? Do you say you are a “self-made” man or woman? If you do, stop. If you don’t, do not start. You see what happened to king Nebuchadnezzar. Love you! 🦋⚔️

Not much time left

“The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:7-8 NLT

Are you mad with you mother for not living up to your expectations of what a good mother is? Are you mad at your son for not living up to the expectations of what you think a good son looks like? The past is in the past. All we have is the here and now. Let your deep love for others allow you to forgive them and move on. We don’t have much time. Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋

Wait no more…

“My suffering was good for me, for it taught me to pay attention to your decrees.” Psalm 119:71 NLT

Expect discipline to follow disobedience. When the suffering was over, what did you learn? What steps did you take to ensure you don’t repeat that disobedience? Have you shared your lesson with others? If not, why are you waiting? Love you! 🦋⚔️

Waking hours; wisdom & good judgment

“I believe in your commands; now teach me good judgment and knowledge.” Psalm 119:66 NLT

Let’s start this week demonstrating wisdom and good judgment. Every decision we make can be a good one if we only listen to the Holy Spirit. When is the last time you allowed the Holy Spirit to guide your every move in waking hours of a day? Why not try this day? Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

“You have done many good things for me, Lord, just as you promised.” Psalm 119:65 NLT

Name 5 things the Lord has done for you. Love you!

Here’s my list:

1. God woke me up.

2. God woke me up in my right mind.

3. God woke me up with the ability to move on my own.

4. God woke me up with the ability to breathe on my own.

5. God woke me up with the ability to think, speak, write, reason, text and post. PRAISE BE TO GOD!! 🦋⚔️

First step?

“Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.” 1 Peter 4:4 NLT

It is never too late to change your bad behavior. Don’t let your friends “guilt you” into continuing sinful behavior simply because you used to engage in such acts. Today can be your first day of being the new creation that God is calling you to be. Will you take that first step? Love you! 🦋⚔️

Lying lips

“For the Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy life and see many happy days, keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies.” 1 Peter 3:10 NLT

Who doesn’t want a happy life? We all do. Here are a couple of tips. Don’t speak evil (gossip, slander, vulgarity, etc.) And don’t lie (white lies, “blue” lies, all lies.) Love you! 🦋⚔️

Your God-given talent?

“God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.” Daniel 1:17 NLT

God has blessed us with talents, a set of unique qualities that no one else has on the planet. What are those talents given to you and what are you doing with them? Love you! 🦋⚔️

Your goal?

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Galatians 1:10 NLT

The Apostle Paul sums it up quite nicely for us. Today, let’s stop being “people pleasers” and instead, do all things and speak words that please God. Won’t you join me? Love you! 🦋⚔️

Life isn’t fair

“For God is pleased when, conscious of his will, you patiently endure unjust treatment.” 1 Peter 2:19 NLT

Is life fair? NO. When your turn rolls around and you are treated unfairly, remember this scripture. God wants us to patiently endure. If you are having a difficult time doing it, call on the Holy Spirit for help. Love you! 🦋⚔️🦋 IronSharpensIron

Givelify

“It is more blessed to give than receive” (Acts 20:35)

What a statement! His Word is Truth. Jesus gave us a great revelation. He has blessed us with a great opportunity to give through this ministry.
